My identity was always a mystery for me considering my chaotic upbringing. I never really knew my actual identity until now. The title, Further than Space is used as a metaphor as I needed to travel from the UK to New Zealand to embark on my quest of self-discovery and healing. Although the book is full of bright and colourful nature landscape photographs that may make the experience look magical, in reality it was a very stressful and emotional experience for me, as I didn’t get the resolution I’d originally wanted with my family. However, the experience has opened up new opportunities for me to move forward.
